My girl came in today! The heat pack was warm still after cross-country travel. She’s very shy but I assume she’s just scared. The only negative would be that she shed during shipping and has some stuck shed but not a big deal at all! I’m very pleased with my purchase. The people here are very helpful.

How do you get prepared before you buy a ball python for your home?
The holidays are right around the corner, and you may be considering purchasing a ball python for a loved one or yourself. We encourage you to take this time to research and prepare for the snake(s) that you are looking to add to your family.
- Make sure to source multiple care sheets from experienced sources and consider purchasing books or ebooks about the different types of ball pythons. Having knowledge about your pet makes the owning process way more easy and more fun.
- Join a species-specific online community or even a ball python online community. Online communities will provide you with additional support and advice from more experienced ball python keepers and breeders. There are many of them out there which can be found across social media.
- Make sure that you are purchasing your ball python from a breeder that is willing to assist you with questions even after the purchase. With all the conflicting information found online, your breeder should be able to explain the best way to care for your python.
- Set up your ball python's new habitat and make sure that your temperature (hot and cool spot) and humidity is correct. Temps and humidity may take a few days to get right, but have this ready before your python comes home.
- Double-check that you have a reliable source(s) to purchase your python's food.
- Once your ball python is at home, we would recommend letting them settle into their habitat for a week before you work on consistent handling. Also, refer back to your breeder if there are any special instructions or recommendations for the kind of ball python that you are bringing home.
